Ferraris at the Village - 2006

What a wonderful day - beautiful skies, great friends, and gathering of some of the most exotic cars in the world!  Kevin Fielden, founder of the CAFE group (Charlotte Area Ferrari Enthusiasts) has been working for years to try to put together a large Charlotte gathering of the Prancing Horses. Finally, his wish came through with his organizing the first annual Ferrari's in the Village event. Located in the Balantyne Village, Kevin managed to get over 30 area Ferrari owners to register their pride and joy and bring it out for a day of fun and camaraderie. Many non-Ferrari owners stopped by just to see the spectacle . And what a spectacle it was!!  From the classic 275, to the exquisite 512 BBi's, to the TWO F40's, one of which is an ultra-rare F40 LM race car (only 4 in the US) which is the one you see on the Mothers Wax's commercials. This day marked a milestone in Charlotte's Ferrari culture.

Here are a few pictures from the day. Click on the thumbnails for larger versions.

A group of us gathered at Exclusive Motors for some bagels and coffee, then headed over to the Village...

From above, you get an idea of how big this was!

TWO F40's...including the very rare F40 LM.

A lot of Ferrari models were represented....
